About
Valerie Wong is a 17-year-old origami artist, photographer, and environmentalist from San Francisco, California. Her creative work is inspired largely by the diverse nature of the Bay Area.
Valerie fell in love with origami as a child. Now, she focuses on supercomplex origami models folded from single square sheets without cuts, solving crease patterns or designing original work. Her original work is inspired by local birds, the environment, and new techniques.
As an avid birder and photographer, she hopes to promote ethical wildlife photography through her work. When she’s not creating, she enjoys cooking, staying active, and playing music.
